Divey, doors-rusting-off-the-hinges, lotsa character, a favorite with the locals. Excellent barbeque.
The food was substandard. The place was filthy. There was a weed eater sitting in the corner. I am surprised the building is not condemned. Do not waste your time or your money here. We have too many quality BBQ joints around here to have to risk this place.
Talk about eclectic.... A tiny place (seats 8-10) for BBQ. Gets either good or awful reviews. Flies abound. BBQ good. Don't know how it's kept a food safety record. Is closing after many years. I went once --- that's enough.

This is the real deal, perfectly prepared BBQ pork without slaw, sauce or BS. This meat melts in your mouth. A one-of-a-kind place with a one-of-a-kind owner. If you are someone who appreciates great food and unique experiences, this is the place in Charlottesville. If not, go to some chain and pour sweet sauce over dry, stringy meat. Jinx's rules.
The BBQ at Jinx's is pretty good, You need to eat there, in the little kitchen surrounded by years of memories on the wall, while talking to Jinx, Call ahead if weather is good, Jinx may have decided the day was too nice to not "go fishin' ".
