We did our research on trip advisor before we visited the area and were not disappointed, what a find. The prawn Pil Pil was first class as were the steaks, superb service too. So good we visited twice.
This evening, we felt lazy and we didn't want to walk at all. Across the street it was Meson Castellano, a restaurant that serves very impressive food, i had octopus(canarian style), it was really great, my girlfriend had good dorada and our friend a very good veal chops. We recomand this place
If your looking for a good standard of fresh and good tasting food then this restaurant will not disappoint you. My wife and I were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel and we order a bootle of wine €20 starter if cheese and Jamón ibérico followed by sea bass, fillet steak medallions and a salad. I went to Meson Castellano last night for dinner on a recommendation and absolutely loved it. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the Iberico ham was delicious, I'd definitely suggest anyone try it. Next time I'm in Tenerife I'm going back for sure
Over the years we've visited Meson Castellano many times way back to when they had no menu and the waiters would just reel off what you could choose from ("Meat? Fish? Tapas?")... Enjoyed a wonderful meal here while in Tenerife. Needed a change from fish and ordered meat with garlic. Husband ordered suckling pig. Neither of us were disappointed.
