This restaurant was recommended by our B&B hostess and was just a few blocks away. Food was very good and prices quite reasonable. Service was attentive and very friendly.
With the Spoleto Festival going on in Charleston, I never expected to get a reservation on a Saturday night. Used Open Table and was surprised that there are some times available. Booked a reservation for 4 at 6:45PM and we we accommodated without a problem. Arrived early with companion and we had a drink at the bar-- two Tito's Gimlet's... 更多
We read the good reviews so tried this place out. We both opted for pasta dishes, which we thought were bland and contained way too much pasta and hardly any other content. The meal was expensive and I felt really lacked anything special that deserved the upscale price. Perhaps we chose the wrong things on the menu but we were... 更多
I ate at Lana on Friday night (5/23) with my husband, in-laws and teenage children to celebrate my husband's birthday. We are Charlestonians and chose Lana from a plethora of great local restaurants mainly to avoid the downtown crowds on Memorial Day weekend and the beginning of Spoleto. I will share with you that the food was good; however, the... 更多

I highly recommend Chef Ondo's four course tasting option. Each generous course was a surprise to us, selected...and served...by this great chef. He personally explained his special ingredients and we felt very pampered. It was also the best value on the menu. Charleston has lots of dining options and this one is unique, delicious and personal.
We really enjoyed our stop in on our Culinary tour!! I have food allergies and they created some really great samples for me!!Fish stew was awesome!!!
The apps were mediocre. We ordered Pomme Frittes because we were so hungry and they were good but not hot. The aioli was AMAZING! The mussels lacked flavor as did the broth. Our entrees however were all very good. The basque style chicken was great as was the gnocchi al fungi. Short ribs a little dry but flavor was there.... 更多
It's a small restaurant we finally tried to the delight of everyone in our party who talked about how they enjoyed their meal the following day. We started with the calamari, fresh and crisp, and the succulent muscles. We enjoyed the gnocchi, risotto, short ribs and Moroccan lamb stew.
We had the best food and fun here. The house white (a Pinot Grigio) was awesome for $7/glass. The chef knows his pasta (I lived in Italy for 3 yrs so I know of what I speak). Price point was good compared to pricier options in town center. Don't miss if you're in this area of the city. Not sure... 更多
We have a lot of restaurants we love in Charleston. The night after our Citadel knob and I had dinner here, we had to return with the rest of our family. This no-repeat family dined at Lana two nights in a row. Charleston locals (who engaged us because the knob was in The Uniform) were curious as to how we... 更多
We went there as part of a tour with Charleston Culinary Tours, (Excellent Tour). The interior was very nicely done. It felt both exclusive and comfortable at the same time. What I mean is you feel like you have stumbled into a very private club, but at home right away. The two courses we sampled were a fish soup and... 更多
Lana's is okay. The server was nice. The atmosphere was pretty good. I didn't care for my dish. I ordered the bouillabaisse. It was so fishy smelling and tasty, I had to put my place on the far end of the table and have the server take it away. I think if I'd ordered something else, my experience would have... 更多
Thanks so much to the TA reviewer who recommended Lana. We were in need of a break from the madness in the historic district (occasioned by a cruise ship docking) and Lana was the perfect antidote. We enjoyed the lentil soup, watercress salad with asparagus, and the local fish of the day, which was sea bass, and the lamb spanakopita... 更多
Lana was good but somewhat disappointing given the number of terrific restaurants in Charleston. We were there on a Monday night and the wait for our food was long; the waitress, who was friendly and helpful, explained that the kitchen had some new help. My chicken was overcooked a bit, other meals were good but not great. Most of the... 更多
