The place is compact, so if you want a table for Sunday Brunch, you have to arrive when they open or you will have a long wait. Found this by chance, while visiting Reynold's st shops in Point Breeze area of Pittsburgh. It's a little corner cafe, very unpretentious, quite charming. Their specialty is the the moules (mussels) in various sauces. Curry is the favorite, but I also liked the classic. Comes with frites (fries, but waaay better than most restaurant ones). Point Brugge is located in a residential neighborhood and seems to have a loyal following. Parking is relatively easy to find and the restaurant is also fairly easy to find. A small out of the way restaurant with a changing menu. The mussels are the speciality of the house and everyone orders them. Be sure and save room for the sinfully delicious desserts. A very large selection of European beers and unusual drinks.
Every now and then I get a hankering for mussels, which my husband is happy to indulge, so it's off to Point Brugge for moules and frites! A recent weeknight visit was especially memorable!
