Food is great and staff is friendly but very expensive and not enough seating - long waits for tables and no reservations taken.
It's not Azteca or Taco Time. So if your expecting something over the top here, you'll be disappointed. While on vacation here in Sunriver, we decided to try El Caporal Mexican food. The salsa was good, nice and spicy. I was some what disappointed when my combination plate arrived. My taco was just ground beef and shredded lettuce. No tomato,... 更多
El Caporal came in after El Pescador was forced to move out because of high rents. Not the same quality of El Pescador, but is adequate. El Pescador used to have nice outside dining but El Caporal has severely neglected the outside and not very pleasant to eat outside. Inside is very noisy. Service is good and food quality spotty.... 更多
Great service, as we were initially alone in the restaurant. Drinks were expensive but tasty. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Disappointing experience.
Our family at lunch at El Caporal yesterday. The food was very good and the prices reasonable. My wife and I shared the Chicken Molé Enchiladas and shredded beed Taco Salad. The enchiladas were fantastic- we lived the molé. The taco salad was quite good, especially given the $8 price! The shredded beef was tender and full of flavor. We... 更多
We dined here in January. The salsa and chips are excellent. My husband and I split a meal, and good thing we did, because the portions were huge. Although our waiter was efficient, he lacked personality. He wasn't rude, but almost. I ordered a glass of the house white wine. Should have asked the cost beforehand (no prices listed), because... 更多
We have had some great meals at this place with some very friendly service, especially from one of the managers (Manny). However, in our last visit, the food and service were below average for Mexican food. This seems to happen during the peak of Sunriver crowded seasons. So I would suggest waiting for a slow time.
Our waiter said this was the best Mexican food in the area and we would have to agree. Fresh, salsa house-made and just enough spice. We had enchiladas and tacos. Would recommend and will visit again next visit to Sunriver. Very friendly staff and there was a constant take-out crowd in addition to a mostly full restaurant.
