We ordered a large Stromboli and a Miss Piggy and WOW! The pizza was hot and cooked all the way thru without the soggy center, usually found in a pizza with a lot of toppings. The ingredients were fresh and the sausage ....-out of this world. We'll be back, over and over again!
Neighborhood pizza place with families and young lads who skateboarded there to share a liter of soda and hang out.Service was friendly.Two calzones were huge and inexpensive.Small selection of microbrew drafts but adequate. Street parking if you can find it on busy Stark Street.
After our flight in from California and checking into a hotel we were starving the front desk agent pointed us to flying pie pizza I have never had a pizza with so many toppings piled as high as humanly possible packed with flavor unreal we loved it would definitely go again
flying Pie in East Portland is a funky place, you don't need to dress up. Just bring your appetite. for my money, the Stromboli is the best pizza ever created...spicy Italian sausage combined with a variety of other ingredients to please the discriminating pizza palate. Yummy!
Flying Pie still has the loaded toppings and good crust I remember, but overall very average. One of the meats (pepperoni I would guess) made a greasy mess of our pie.
