food tasted off, like the chicken had gone bad and the place looked like it could use some sanitizing and some fresh staff.
This meal was a delight. The appetizer, Crab (made from fish) Rangoon, was a crispy Won ton filled with mostly cream cheese. The slightly sweet red sauce is perfect to enhance the flavor. The dry braised eggplant was the tastiest dish. We got it with #1 spice level. That was spicy enough to have a kick, but no burning tastebuds.... 更多
We had Sunday lunch here with a group of eight. They took a reservation for us, which was helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meals except one; he thought the chicken in his dish was overlooked/dry. They are willing to adjust spice level or swap sauces to customize dishes to your taste.
Even though the atmosphere in the restaurant is fairly dark and dreary the food has been good each time we have eaten here. Prices are reasonable and the food is of good quality. We will continue to come here when we are in the area. (2-3 times per year)
Outstanding Chinese food. They have a lunch deal Monday-Saturday, around $7 for lunch with rice, and soup. Hot and Sour soup is the best in town. Then Kung Pao Chicken is spicy but not too spicy. Years ago this restaurant served very good food. I am embarrassed at how bad it is now after talking my friends into trying it. The moo goo gain pan was inedible. Everything else was so-so. It was packed, so clearly others don't agree with me. I thought it was a disaster.
Hot & sour soup is terrific and all meals are delicious. Worth the visit. Staff is pleasant and the flavor of the food matches the amazing aromas coming from the kitchen.
