So nice to be in a pub as they use to be... no pretentions. great beer amazing food and friendly publicans. Perfect
We visited the pub twice in two days for lunch (not a bad accolade in itself). The food was perfectly cooked to our palate and thoroughly enjoyable and the beer (for me) was exceedingly tasty, oh, and did I mention moreish? The service was impeccable and the staff personable and considerate. The Rorke's Drift comment; apparently the 24th Regiment of... 更多
You can imagine the scenario, 6.30pm, very hangry boyfriend, 3 tetchy kids (I'm hungryyyyyy) and a bored 9mth old collie pup. We dashed into the Black Horse having eaten a lovely lunch there in January in the hope they might have something quick to eat. Having explained my dilemma to the bar lady, my order was immediately passed to the... 更多
It's the second time we've visited this pub and it was great. The food was great, the ale was fantastic, the pub was very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The Pub has a brilliant Restaurant Menu, the Meat Dish's were brilliant, far better than many award winning Restaurants. The Staff we're very helpful and went the extra mile for us. The Pub is immaculate and has a lovely Beer Garden. If your staying in or near Pluckley make sure you pop in..
Stumbled across this place with my mum after wanting to find somewhere quiet in the country to have a light lunch on a hot summers day. The views across the countryside are stunning and it's so quiet and peaceful, real hidden gem in the village. The staff in the pub were so nice and friendly, really chatty and pleasant. We... 更多
The Black Horse is a fantastically atmospheric pub, and is a delightful place in which to have a meal and/or drink. I have visited on a few occasions and have never failed to be served a really good meal. Pluckley being the ghost capital of Kent, The Black Horse, as you would expect, has plenty of stories connected to it,... 更多
As always, a lovely Sunday lunch. Moist lamb, fresh veg, brilliant roast spuds. Just one complaint - the desserts look and sound great, but I had no room for them!
Had a nice meal here with my family fish and chips and the Brie and chicken baguette staff were friendly and food was good pub food good value for your money, the food did take a bit of time to come but they did say sorry but they only had one chef on that day.
I took visitors there for lunch. The food was excellent and the service friendly and informative. We had the dog with us and he was given a bowl of water and made to feel very welcome. This is in Pluckley the most haunted village in the UK and the Black Horse was used when they filmed The Darling Buds of... 更多
