Mary-Ann's Polarriggen has a fantastic selection of food, which you should expect in Svalbard. Our dining plans changed drastically during our stay in Longyearbyen after visiting Mary-Ann's the first time. We decided to try it a couple of times. The ambiance is very special in every room. During the polar day or polar night it is great to sit in... 更多
The restaurant is linked to Mary Ann's Polarrigg and from the outside, you wouldn't be the first one to assume the place was closed down and no longer in use. It has a very secluded arctic restaurant feel to it and the location- the slightly off the main central town track -further supports that assumption. When you step inside, you... 更多

This entry and Vintergarden are the same restaurant.
We walked over the bridge from the main "town", which left us a bit cold (it was -12 outside). However, once inside, we quickly warmed up. The interior decor, and indeed the whole concept, is unusual. Svalbard has a long history of trapping, so no surprise there are so many trophies around. Most of the rooms and corridors are made... 更多
