Customer service and food were so diaspointting and the atmosphere was just chaotic. For 3 customers in the restaurant the staff could barely keep up and the food was cold!
A couple of years ago while driving across the Province of Newfoundland we stopped to spend the night at Deer Lake Motel. It was a very enjoyable experience. We really enjoyed the resturant. The rooms were clean, and well appointed . I found the staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to stay there again... 更多
Only ate breakfasts here. Food was very basic (which is what you'd expect here anyway) and staff very friendly. It's a small town. Access to supplies may be limited and pricing a little on the high side. Seemed to be always popular with the local crowd.
The Deer Lake Motel is a great highway pit stop, with full service restaurant and bar. We came through on a bus tour and appreciated the chance to unwind in the bar waiting for our meal as we were a bit ahead of time.
Just arrived in Newfoundland and ate here. Had their Wednesday night special...chicken wings. Ordered the salt and pepper ones....perfect for a easy meal after a flight. Iceberg Beer from Newfoundland made from iceberg water...refreshing. And there was local entertainment with a "squeezebox" in the restaurant to welcome us to Newfoundland.
Enjoyed a meal here, very tasty sea food dinner. The restaurant is conveniently location off the highway. The staff were very helpful in suggesting what to see in the area.
Had herad from the bnb we were at that the clam chowder and cod was good, but thru a day of dtiving in the driving rain, we decided on hslibut and steak. The steak looked fine , but the halibut was no comparison to the cod. Hotel type food. Expensive, but good. More rain exoected.
We ate here on our way to Twillingate and were pleasantly surprised. The Restaurant is very nice, the food is good and plentiful and nicely priced and the staff are very friendly.Give it a try if in the area.
