There is a smoker out front blowing hard; but it seems unlikely they are actually using it to smoke pig. If they are smoking butts somewhere, I don't know what kind of rub they are using, if any. The marquee says pulled pork; but is is finely shredded. The BBQ was very bland, about the worst I have ever had.... 更多
Butts on the Creek is exactly the kind of place you hope to find on a vacation in the Smoky Mountains, rustic with great food. The special tonight was 1/2 rack of ribs, 1/2 pound of beef brisket and 2 sides for $11.95. What a deal! Just a 1/2 side of ribs was $5 more. The ribs were falling off... 更多
Decided to try this place. The ribs were really good. The chicken was really dry. My husband got the brisket and it wasn't good either. The sides were good.
We went to Maggie valley for Wheels through time museum. Afterwards we went to Butts on the Creek for lunch. The sign was sitting beside a smoker. That is the only thing close to smoke in the whole restaurant. When you walk in you have to order at the front counter and pay right then. You are told the drink... 更多
Stopped in to try the place out while visiting in Maggie Valley. the pros: the folks at the counter are friendly the place is pretty nice to hang out in and clean the hush puppies and baked beans were really good the cons: (the main reason to stop was to have bbq or smoked meats) we tried the special that... 更多
Food wasn't bad, wasn't anything to rave about either. Five motorcycles in our group and it took that many to help maneuver each of us out if the gravel hills and to try and find a spot to park on. Getting out of there is a challenge. Had to have one stand at road and stop traffic and still scratched... 更多
We were looking for some good BBQ but many places in town are closed on Sunday. We saw a place tucked down off the major road, next to a small babbling creek that was very rustic in appearance called "Three Butts on the Creek BBQ". It was in an old wooden building with a gift shop on one side and... 更多
The ribs were outstanding and the sauces were very tasty. The price was reasonable for the amount and quality of the servings. I recommend trying the fried corn on the cob; very different and unexpected. On the other hand, bikers beware! the parking lot is treacherous for motorcycles. You enter on a steep (gravel) hill and have to exit same... 更多
Nice staff, I imagine if the BBQ ever saw smoke it was administered by eye dropper in the liquid variety or perhaps walked by with hickory in a censor while chanting ohm. Beautiful location, friendly service just really plain cafeteria style bbq and burgers.
Decided to try Bar-B-Que for a change up but was disappointed with the bland pulled pork sandwiches. It tasted like it had no dry rub at all and definitely no smoke flavor. I saw another reviewer say it was cooked with propane but even at that it should have some pork flavor. This stuff was bland and dry to boot.... 更多
