My son and I ate here tonight. He had the pad Thai and suggested I order some too. I should have listened to him! He let me have a taste of his, and it was great. We started with some spring rolls which were quite tasty. I odered the spicy cathish, which I finished in tears! My son kept asking... 更多
We were looking for a place to eat and drive by Thai Basil. It is unassuming, and occupies what looks like a former gas station. There is a brick wall enclosure where cars used to drive through to get fueled. We chose to sit outside, as it was wonderful weather. I started with the ginger dumpling appetizer. Wow - tasty... 更多
We ate here for a quick lunch during a Saturday visit to Black Mountain. Our other dinner plans for the weekend were American cuisine so we chose to walk to Thai Basil as a nice alternative to those expectations. We were seated and served very quickly. Our meals came out in only 5 minutes or so and were terrific. Two... 更多
Food was good and the menu looked nice plus the prices were not bad at all. My only complaint is that the portions are to small and I didn't think it was that spicy even though it said it was "very Thai spicy" lol. But still a cool place to check out and super nice server and quick service.
Summer evening on the patio along with delicious food creates a winner. I had a fried rice with veggies, curry, and pineapple entre. The veggies were fresh and plentiful. The lemon grass iced tea was perfection. Loved the elephant fountain on the patio. I will definitely return to this mountain gem.
To imagine that this was once a gas station shows to go ya, the magic in these here parts! Lovely outside garden with Gnash's splashing reflections, inside just as divine. Food outstanding! Great selections...worth sticking around to eat here more!
Best Thai food that includes Asheville and Waynesville. Curry puff appetizer n dumplings are some of the best appetizers. My wife lives the Pineapple Curry with prawns that is not spicy. I tried the fried rice noodles. Every bit as good as chinatown in new york
Outstanding food and service in a location on the site of a former gas station. Exquisite personal attention, and consistently delicious food.
I enjoy lunch here. The service is fast and friendly. The food is cooked from scratch and quite authentic. The flavors are luscious. It's a small corner restaurant without much parking and a small outdoor patio if you want to dine outside. But The food is worth it and the prices are moderate. Give it a try.
