The food is very good, the portions are plenty, and the atmosphere is "Family Oriented". Far from fancy, but a very good value.
The Milanese is a wonderful place for not only the food, but the ambience & Italian flavor & candles makes for a cozy visit. The food is tasty & priced very reasonable but the service is many times lacking. Accessible restrooms would be a huge plus here as it's one of the few restaurants I've visited where it's difficult to... 更多
The Milanese used to be the big game in town. The food these days is average at best and the restaurant is in need of serious updating. It's ok but there is certainly better Italian food to be had in Poughkeepsie!
I love this restaurant. My family has been going there since they opened maybe 40 years ago. Lately it had "fallen off", but I'm glad to report it's BACK. If you are lucky you will find Sandy overseeing the dining room. We had their hot appetizer plate, stuffed shrimp and the best francoise sole this side of the Atlantic. I... 更多
Went on Father's Day. The food was great and the service was too. The Veal Parm and Chicken Parm were outstanding. It is so nice when you get Salad and the Pasta. So many restaurants now offer one or the other. They had a Fish Special of Mussels, Lobster etc over pasta with claim sauce. Great Garlic Bread. It was... 更多
This is the second time my boyfriend & I have eating at the Milanese. Both times we were here to see concerts and the restaurant is not far from the venue. I had the chicken Contadina (see picture). It was absolutely delectable although a little on the salty side. But let's be honest, that's what makes it taste so good.... 更多
A recent visit for dinner was a very satisfying meal at this long-time Poughkeepsie restaurant. The menu is extensive, with a full selection of pasta favorites, chicken, seafood, beef, and evening specials. Meals are accompanied by a basket of warm garlic bread, and a very good house salad, which most of us had topped with the crumbled bleu cheese vinaigrette.... 更多
All of the usual favorites. You won't find much avant garde in the way of presentation or choices, but dependable good food, and good sized portions. Been there forever. Sauce is very tasty.
I've been going to Milanese Restaurant since I was a child, our family would dine there often, when I got married, we had the reception at their "Casa Milanese" facility in Highland NY, where they host dinner dance parties and weddings, to this day, 25 yrs later, everyone still remembers the food and atmosphere! Our daughter is having her wedding... 更多
We went for lunch after visiting The NYS Sheep & Wool Festival. It was about 1:30 and time for lunch. It was Sunday and they had a spaghetti special. The meatballs were huge and tasty. The spaghetti was a little chewy but good. I notice that a little undercooked in more the normalnowadays. This restaurant has been in the same... 更多
