Once you experience the nostalgia of the design of this retro designer, there's not too much to offer here. None of the food we had struck us as particular good or made in-house. Nothing stood out, just blah fare.
I have visited this diner several times and always find the owners friendly and accommodating. It is a small diner, very clean, with great service and delicious diner style food.
The Yankee Clipper Diner is a classic American diner. (The film "Nobody's Fool" with Paul Newman filmed here). The food is reliably good with generous portions. Prices are very reasonable. Service was efficient and friendly.
Even with an incredibly huge menu, each item we ordered tasted terrific! From good old American food, Greek specialties, wonderful sandwiches and breakfast all day, you're in for a treat! The portions are huge, so plan on bringing some home. Seated in a window seat booth, you can watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Beacon. You won't be disappointed

We had breakfast here on our way out of town. The french toast with challah bread was very good! The restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent. This is a reproduction 1950s diner and is a lot of fun to visit.
I love going to diners, and this was one of my favorites. I went for dinner. The service was great, and the food perfect. I was impressed at the cleanliness of the place, and I look forward to returning on my next visit to Beacon, NY.
Upon arrival, it is rare that one of the owners is not there to greet you. The staff could not be more cordial and as diner food goes, this place shines. Its always a happy visit.
