This restaurant is at the Moreson winery just outside Franschoek, and it's a winner. We ate out on their wonderful terrace, and it's toddler-friendly -- there's nicely planted space to go for a walk. Don't miss the risotto with asparagus and Gorgonzola: very rich, but just spectacular. They offer tasting flights of their wines with the meal, in addition to... 更多
Lovely relaxed vibe at this country restaurant. Delicious food and wine, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Highly recommend it. We were telephoned in the morning to confirm our booking. The waiters were attentive and everything was served promptly and with a smile. We particularly liked the quirky notes on the wine list.
Eating outdoors on a beautiful day under a tree is always special, and this was no exception! Our tour allowed us two lunch courses, my choice being green vichyssoise, and an array of sweets, ie. brownies, macarons, pound cake, and candy kisses, all very tasty. The wine enhanced it all!
We hosted an incentive trip to Cape Town and one of the events was bread making at the Bread and Wine restaurant. It was great fun. After the bread making we had lunch. The meal was good. The table was quite large - 20 people - so the menu was set, and would not have been my choice of food,... 更多
Peaceful and cool outdoor seating area. I had the sweet squid curry and my husband had the tuna. Both divine. Excellent premium Chardonnay and bubbly. Very friendly service and gluten free bread for me!
We stayed at the Le Quartier Francais, a sister property, for three days and lunch at Bread & Wine was part of a wine tour we arranged through the hotel. What an amazing treat -- we had a two course lunch, and had 2 white wines paired with our starters, and a flight of red with our main - all... 更多
Beautiful, yet unpretentious. Definitely worth a visit. The menu is creative and elegant and changes all the time, depending on what's seasonal and at the whim of the chef. The wines off the estate are excellent and complement the outstanding food and lovely setting.
This is a great place for lunch in the beautiful Wineland area. You do not get the view over the vineyards, but it is still a very nice and relaxing place that I would higly recommend. The patio is charming, service is great and food is very good. And of course the wines, too...!
We arrived without a reservation, not knowing how popular this restaurant is, finding it at the end of a funny country road. We did some wine tasting while we waited for a table, and bought some orchards from the nursery. The food was fantastic, the portions were a good size. The charcuterie platter was a great choice and quite large.... 更多
This is a little gem of a place. The quite surrounding under the trees with good simple food and great wines. A welcoming visit to Gunther in the Tasting Room, a taste of some of their great wines expertly directed by Gunther prepares you for a most pleasant dining and wining experience. Always our first visit to any food and... 更多
I was told by my company to take my guests there... I never knew the restaurant was there. And was i pleasantly surprised!!! The service was very friendly! The setting is great. We sat outside and they had the sprinklers on (This was the hottest day in the Cape!!!) and the area we sat in was nice and cool! I... 更多
Fantastic in every way - menu choice, quality of ingredients, and the dishes themselves. Special mention of springbok and calamari and the Widow Maker. Service is exceptional and the setting under the trees is perfect. A must do and for such a casual setting is outstanding.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch with friends at this venue. The menue was both innovative and delicious, the staff were attentive. And the location delighful.
