About the only "upscale" option in town. The drinks and bar food are good, the full dinner is a bit less impressive. In the summer months, lots of weddings here so availability can be limited.
When we first walked in the manager upstairs was sort of rude and sent us downstairs to a pub where a lady was very nice.We sat and waited for family to arrive. Menu was not very interesting and it was hard to find something good to eat. When we ordered I think everyone's meal was so-so.Drinks were good...grandson didn't finish... 更多
A classic New England tavern with a cozy, red brick bar in a corner of the restaurant. Wait staff are friendly and drinks are full strength and full of flavor. Good for intimate date or upstairs for semi formal dining.
Thank you Prentiss for your kind review. We hope to see you in the Tavern again soon and I will... 更多
A beautiful, warm and cozy country inn venue for my daughter's wedding ceremony under a tent in the garden and reception inside a lovely lower hall with a big fireplace. Delicious food, excellent staff. Have eaten in dining room first floor since, also very good meal but pricey.Tavern downstairs an intimate space.

The service is great, the atmosphere is amazing, but the flavor falls short from the presentation. The high price menu compared to the quality of the food makes want to consider my options
Perched on the top of a hill, this quaint country inn is in a very old building which gives it character. The staff is very friendly and engaging, and we really enjoyed our food. There was good variety on the menu, and we noticed many families (which makes sense given it's close to a university).
Even if you're in Durham just one night, you MUST go! First rate dishes: Well-prepared and seasoned, absolutely delicious - AND very competitively priced. The indoor restaurant is splendid New England decor: Exposed brick walls and ceiling beams, grandly yet tastefully refurbished, without compromising one iota of authentic, ancient charm. We stayed in Durham for an entire week and sampled... 更多
We stayed at the Three Chimneys Inn last summer with our elderly dogs. This year, we made a last minute decision to spend a long Mother's Day weekend traveling to Portland, Maine. To break up the trip, we opted to spend one night in Dover, NH, followed by a Mother's Day lunch at the Three Chimneys. We were greeted by... 更多
