We arrived from the park after 7pm. Most everything was closed. The Bistro was a pleasant surprise. Very friendly employees. We had a grilled cheese sandwich, and a hamburger. Both were very good.
This is across the road from the Alpine Inn, the motel gives you a 10% discount if you eat here. We loved this place! Small with a fireplace, very cozy. We had breakfast which was very good! The pancakes are huge, so make a note of that! Coffee was good. Great little place! Recommend
Perhaps it was that a bus load of folks stopped in Cooke City, and the Bistro was overwhelmed at capacity. Result - our non-bus party of 6 was underwhelmed. Everything in Cooke City is expensive. Hotels, restaurants, stores gas. Bring that which you can! Much of this has to do with transportation costs! The food was ok here! However, Cooke City and Yellowstone Park is superb! A definitely must see and drive from Billings, MT over the Beartooth Pass only!
Received 10% discount with stay at Alpine Motel in Cooke City. Food was very good. Possibly understaffed due to number of customers and late evening which resulted in slow service. Friendly servers. Meals were rather expensive; however, checked out other restaurants in town all priced the same.
