We have been here many times before and today was an exception the service was slow the meat was dry. if this was our first visit would never come back as it is it will probably be a while before we return. On the upside, great ice tea.

It took 2 hours for 6 us to get simple gyros which looked like fast food when we finally got them. They were tasty but absolutely not worth 2 hours. Will never go again.
The only Greek Restaurant downtown and we love it. Have to get there by ll:40 am to be guaranteed a table. A lot people love all their food and deserts. Not too classy, have to wait a while to be waited on and served because the lack of waitresses.

If you love gyros you'll love the Athenian. They have many different kinds of gyros and greek salads. The price is right and the family owners are friendly and remember faces.
I'd have given it between Poor and Average if I could. It was disappointing as the place looked very nice, tastefully decorated and they seem to have been in business a long time. But the food was not as tasty as most of the Greek food I have had all over the world. Disappointing

the salad was fresh (with real feta!). The T-bone steak was fine, and the red snapper had a very tasty sauce with it, not at all fatty. The waitress was very friendly and fast and even spoke German to us.
