Visited here on recommendation during a family stay in Alton. The venue was clean and pleasant; the staff friendly and welcoming. The food was fine but not exceptional. I had the steak and merlot pie which was tasty but was let down by the fact that it was only lukewarm at best and the gravy was beginning to congeal/solidify. The... 更多
We visited for an evening meal - booking advisable. Good choice on the menu and specials board. The food was really good and plentiful. A lovely friendly atmosphere.
Ate here one night as we were camping nearby to visit Alton towers. We hadn't booked and it was busy, no tables but we said we were happy to sit in the garden, however a man (I think the landlord) said if we too chilly he was sure he could squeeze us in. We sat in the lovely well looked... 更多
My partner and I enjoyed a very pleasant evening while staying nearby. The food was excellent, as was the service from the extremely friendly group of staff. Would definitely recommend.
My partner and I had a very pleasant evening while staying nearby. Food was excellent, along with the service. Would definitely recommend.
have been several times, never disappointed. Try a short walk up the lane to look out over the quarry while you are there too
Our friends booked a meal at this restaurant so we went along not knowing what to expect. The restaurant was full but we received a fantastic welcome with nothing to much trouble. The food was excellent and worth considering the specials menu. Each had a different starter but I could recommend the black pudding hmm. The main course were very... 更多
A repeat visit to this pub for us. Staff friendly and welcoming and the food is very good. The beef pie is excellent! Would definitely recommend this place - ideal for anyone to finish off a day in the Alton Towers area.
We once again visited the queens frequently through out our stay at quarry walk. We knew the place as we had been on a previous holiday. We visited trying all different dishes. They were all equally as divine!!!!! The owner was extremely friendly and a generally lovely person. The toilets were immaculate and all brand new! Must visit place near... 更多
The Queens is only a short drive from Cheadle Stoke on Trent, it is right in the middle of the countryside at Freehay, a tiny Hamlet with a beautiful church, one shop and plenty of walks. It is a very friendly establishment, the food is good and is freshly cooked, the Vegetarian options could do with expanding from the usual... 更多

Me and my partner visited the Queens for a cosy evening meal. The menu had an extensive choice and seems to cater for all tastes! The food was served to a high standard and bursting with flavour! Staff were very friendly and were very welcoming! What a lovely environment! Will definitely be visiting again soon! As for a comment below... 更多
We were a party of eight and received excellent service from start to finish. The menu has a good balance supplemented by some good local specials. The food itself was excellent and good value for money. I would recommend a visit to anybody in the area, well done to all the staff and thank you.
There is a fairly varied menu and the food was really nice. I had the steak pie, and so far it's the best I've had. I just thought the place lacked an atmosphere, something to give it a real identity. Still, very good experience overall.
Everyones meals were very tasty and at a high quality, however the extras were not to the same high standard. This is because the chips appeared to be cheap frozen oven chips that were tastless and looked not very appealing and the two small dishes of vegetables were not enough for the large party. This then brought down the quality... 更多
