We drove down from the Twin Cities last night to meet a friend from Rochester and what an absolutely pleasant surprise Mill Street was! Quaint, charming and cozy, with a fabulous patio for non-buggy nights. The menu had a respectable selection and the food was brought out hot and tasted freshly made. This is a wonderful find along the way. We needed a meeting place for family to get together for the evening. We fond Mill Street Tavern and were very pleased with our meal, atmosphere, and service. Worth the stop!
We stopped here after reading reviews on trip advisor of local restaurants in the area and looking for a fish fry. This place has a great atmosphere although very loud so if you don't like that this is not the place for you. Had the fish fry. It met standards. Great service.
I've been to Mill Street Tavern a number of times now and have found the bartender Ryan to be one of the best in the business. Friendly as they get and continually checking on the customers. Their food menu has a wide variety of entrees and is reasonably priced. A nice casual atmosphere completes the experience.
We got our lunch here and took it across the street to Cannon River Winery. The staff was very helpful and efficient! I am a "foodie." I am hard to impress with bar food. Mill Street has the best fish sandwich I have ever eaten. Period.
We had lunch here yesterday and enjoyed it very much. Service is good, food is good, and prices are good. As other reviewers have mentioned, the restaurant is noisy. However, it was worth the lovely drive. Parking is easy and it is next door to a great yarn shop. Who could ask for more? We will be back.
We got lucky and visited on Friday all you can eat fish night! The tavern was crowed but we ate at the bar and had good service. The fish was very good and the French fries were excellent. The prices were very reasonable. It is loud, but that gives it a "happening" kind of ambience.
