Service was great, though we had to wait quite a bit for our dinner. Food was tasty and plenty of it - we took some boxes home.
On a business trip in Iron River and stopped in on a local recommendation - homemade italian food - excellent meat sauce and Italian sausage - lasagna has perfect old world Italian taste. Staff very friendly and above and beyond - ambience was spot on with Christmas decor
Stopped in for dinner on our way home from Marshfield, WI. Wanted to eat at Blink Bonnie's in St. Germain but they were closed. Decided on this restaurant because of the amount of cars in the parking lot....must be good right? We had our hearts set on a good steak so we each ordered the ribeye that was on special.... 更多
I make an annual trip to the Iron River area. Every year we have a dinner at Alice's. I always go for something they are making that is homemade Italian. This year it was spinach ravioli. This is a classic red sauce Italian restaurant and is the finest dining in the Iron River area that I have experienced
Bruschetta so so. Soup was so so. I'm Italian and this wasn't authentic Italian sauce ... gnocchi was ok. Wished I had ordered them with butter and Parmesan instead of the sauce. The pork chops and the steak however was grilled to perfection and delicious. They aren't too many choices in the area, but careful selections made this an ok... 更多
The review title says it. We visited on a Thursday evening at dinner time, and could not tell whether the huge crowd around the bar, which was the first thing one encountered, was waiting for seats in the dining room or just drinking. After asking several patrons it turned out that this is just a very popular local watering spot... 更多
It wasn't bad it just wasn't our cup of tea! It is Italian as advertised however the menu is small, not lots of choices. As for appetizers - there were about perhaps 6 items or so - we opted for their breadsticks and cheese - again there wasn't what we typically see - shrimp - calamari bla-bla - hence bread... 更多
I recommend the ravioli, which is home made and delicious. My husband is Italian, so our authentic dishes would be hard to match, but Alice's does a nice job. His chicken cacciatore was also very good.
Alice's Restaurant has old Italian recipes, the best breadsticks, and fabulous service! Chicken Cacciatore just falls off the bone! The pork chops are out of this world!
