Char's must have had an off day, as it had been recommended to us. The bun for the hamburger was soggy, and burrito was about 1/3 full, limp, and flavorless.
Still super food! Farmers omelet is the best, coffee flows freely, wait staff friendly, locals and passer-throughs welcome. This is a local, long time establishment near M-28 & US45 in Bruce Crossing, Mi. There are few places to dine heading on M-28 or US 45 so unless you plan to drive many more miles you many want to feed here...especially... 更多
This cafe is consistent in staff, cleanliness, and food. Nothing fancy, just your basic little home town fare. Can count on a good burger and fries, and don't forget the long list of homemade pies, including the elusive raspberry! We stop here often on our way thru town.
I have eaten here many times and stopped for pie many of those...they have a huge selections of berry and cream and hot and cold with ice cream if you want...The service is always good and is almost always busy...Food can be really good or just plain fare to fill you up...they serve breakfast all day which is a huge... 更多

Our waitress who looked as though she's worked there since it opened was friendly and efficient. Drinks arrived quickly and our orders were quickly served. I... 更多
Had been looking for a place for a while when Chars popped up. Nice family place with great breakfast, service and all around friendly atmosphere.
They serve breakfast all day, minus pancakes and French toast after 11AM. I went for something off of the normal sandwich menu which sort of ended up being breakfast anyways.... I ordered the Denver Egg Sandwich, which was almost like a Denver omelet folded up and stuffed into two pieces of bread. It had ham, green pepper and onion on... 更多
I was on a motorcycle journey and was passing thru Bruce Crossing in the Western end of the UP. Being, hungry, I stopped here. My only complaint is that I wasn't hungry enough to take advantage of some the food that was available......starting with I estimate about 10 different home made pies......yum. Pretty nice looking menu of burgers and sandwiches,... 更多
Stopped here for a late lunch on our way home from Marquette. Greeted with a smile and menus as soon as we sat down. The pot roast dinner special sounded tempting, but was not that hungry. Hubby got a tuna melt and I got a hot corned beef sandwich. Both were very good. Ordered pie to go; was brought to... 更多
