The atmosphere is great. The food is very good, however the portions are small and the prices high! Service can be slow.
At Blue Heron, we always have an excellent dinner. The owner, Paul, and his staff are very welcoming. The dining room is cozy. The warm bread with olive oil is an excellent starter. Entrees are often supplemented by local fresh seafood and farm vegetables. Desserts are all homemade by their chef.
Visited during the 4th of July holiday weekend. Located in the historic district, the restaurant is conveniently located 1 block from High St - the main street for shopping and dining. We enjoyed this restaurant and think it helps us remember our mini vacation in Chestertown. We enjoyed our meal as it was well prepared. We especially appreciated the attention from the owners and staff who were friendly and checked on us several times.
Reserved for special anniversary and were provided great service and meal. Would come back again. The were patient with us and let spend the full evening without pressure or rushing us.
Relativity is important to keep in mind. Sure, the Blue Heron is not going to get a Michelin star anytime soon, but it is a fantastic restaurant in this little town! Very good, very fresh food. Attentive, friendly service -but not overbearing. Charming & quaint atmosphere. The oysters were fresh and perfect. The trout was super. The desserts were fabulous.... 更多
We visit Chestertown several times a year. We always dine at the Blue Heron, on a quiet back street in historic Chestertown. We are seafood folks. The seafood selections are always tastefully prepared and absolutely fresh. Service is very friendly and attentive. Some quiet and tasteful jazz plays in the background, adding a nice ambience.
Menu is all that you would want. The owner and servers lokk out for your every need. The décor fits the nautical theme of the town. A top notch dining experience on a side street in the middle of the town. The exterior fits the period of the town
This was a wonderful meal in a terrific setting. The owner was a pleasure to speak with and the waitress was wonderful. The oysters with crab and Hollandaise were superb and a bit different from other presentations. Delicious crab cakes. Will look forward to returning.
