Wow! If you are looking for that home style breakfast you grew up eating at your grandmother's home, look no further this place is the real deal. If you walk out hungry it's your own fault.
These folks did an outstanding job. We ordered breakfast; eggs, grits, biscuits (great), bacon, & hash-browns. All made in house and all excellent. In fact we were so impressed we carried lunch home for later! Service was very good, fast and friendly. Definitely a return visit in our future.
We eat here often, have loved everything except the smothered pork chops. This is a once or twice a week stop for us, and love the laid back atmosphere, nice waitresses, and great food.
We went here for lunch on a Friday on a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed. Each day has certain entree specials along with a large selection of home cooked vegetables. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Be hungry when you go as the portions are HUGE! We will definitely return on our next trip to Shreveport
Ordered the hamburger steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, cornbread and fried squash. Also had fried pork chops with butter beans, mashed potatoes. Food was great.
We went there for lunch. The food is eh...not bad, but definitely not great. My husband got a burger. The meat was unseasoned, although they were happy to put an egg on it, which he enjoyed. I had a grilled chicken po'boy. While the chicken was juicy, it was also unseasoned. Everything seemed kind of bland. The fries were okay,... 更多
We decided to head here for Sunday lunch after church. It was a mistake. The western omelette was terrible. Not only was it overdone but had bits of eggshell in it that I encountered several times until I gave up and stopped trying. My wife had the vegetable plate that was bland and greasy. We won't be going back.
Special lunch plates differing each day. Most famous for meatloaf, fried pork chops, chicken fried steak, beef tips & rice and the Friday fish special. Your choice of several vegetables with the entree each day and house made rolls or cornbread. You won't be disappointed or leave hungry.
This used to be a good place for late eats but has taken a turn as of late to the ordinary. There specials seem to run out well before closing. Wait staff seems too preoccupied to provide good service.
