The coffee is real, and the gelato is good. Go for the coffee. Stay for the interesting array of people that frequent this joint.
This is the only real gelato in town so naturally it's the best! But I think their gelato is so fresh! And crispy almost! If you order larger than a toddler size you can get different flavors in a serving. Sometimes they have more flavors - I guess depending on what fruits are available. So good. You have to try... 更多
I needed a pick me up and went straight to Carpe Diem! The gelato looked so good it was hard to choose just two. But I went with the lemon sorbet and the amarena. Great combo.
My husband and I in for coffee and a croissant. I wasn't a fan of the "wishing" tree...this type of new age atmosphere seems to becoming more prevalent in coffee shops these days. However everyone was super nice and the coffee is absolutely delicious. Better than any other coffee I've had in a really long time. I thoroughly enjoyed this... 更多
I thrive on restaurants that experiment with "odd" flavors AND get it right! You will never be disappointed any time you walk through their doors.
When you know the gelato is made on site and the employees can tell you how much fruit is needed for one batch and the owner is Italian you KNOW it's the real thing. And then you taste it and you're like OMG. So good!! There's usually a crowd there too. It's seems to be one of those gathering spots.... 更多
Every visit is a new experience. Each flavor a visit to another place. The staff are excellent, welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. Small batches only and made daily. You haven't tried gelato until you've tried Carpe Diem's gelato. Truly an experience!
Saw a piece about Carpe Diem on the Today show. Did not know about this place. The gelato was WONDERFUL! Liked the atmosphere, especially mural on the wall which took me back to Italy. Mr. Rowan who was very informative, gave us the history of Carpe Diem and Lafayette. Will definitely make a return visit.
