This was actually my 2nd time going here. The food is Yum! The only issue I would say is the parking availability and stretched wait staff. Our poor waitress was all over the place. Weekends should have more staff on hand. Oh yeah you must try the bacon wrapped shrimp.
Visited here with the family. They had something for everyone. We enjoyed the Cajun dishes & my son had the craw dads. The crime brûlée was out of this world. Make this place your first stop in Baton Rouge.
Second time here with the fam! If you come on a popular eat out night be prepared to wait- im not sure if they take reservations. Got the black and bleu tuna and it was delicious! Servers are a little slow, but youre eating out so you might as well chill and enjoy it. They have a oyster special on... 更多
This was my 2nd visit to Parrain's each time I have been completely impressed and blown away by the service and the quality of the food. The staff here is very welcoming and make you feel right at home. I have had a cup of the seafood Gumbo for an appetizer during my first visit and it was out of... 更多
At our table we had an oyster PO-boy (best I've ever had and I've had a lot), Boudain balls and a burger. Also Calamari for an appetizer. Very good food and lived up to its TripAdvisor recommendations.
I live in Tennessee but visit Baton Rouge on business a couple of times each year, and when in Baron Rouge, I never miss the opportunity to have dinner at Parrain's. Over the years, I have had a variety of terrific meals in this very popular source of local pride, but I have to say, Parrain's Andouille Encrusted Fresh Fish... 更多
This is the second time I order the charbroiled oysters at Parrain's and am disappointed. The first time around, both my boyfriend and I got sick after eating the oysters. I went back to Parrain's a week ago with relatives visiting from overseas. I made the mistake to order the charbroiled oysters. They were milky and unedible. The manager argued... 更多
Being from the Houston area and being nearly full time travelers since retiring 5 years ago, we dine at a lot of seafood establishments around the world. I guess eating out nearly all the time is the limit of our "credentials" as seafood connoisseurs. For us, last evenings experience at Parrain's was as good as it gets. Sure we have... 更多
For most anyone who reads this review, this little tidbit will be TMI, but it is a major factor in my experience at Parrain's... All three visits... I have SLE (Lupus) and also Sjogren's Syndrome. The Sjogren's Syndrome makes my mouth extremely dry and makes me highly sensitive to spicy foods... An unexpected dose of pepper can ruin a meal... 更多
Was referred to this place by another local business. So glad! The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. Lots to choose from and it was definitely different than the run-of-the-mill chain restaurants. Only reason I'm leaving off a star is because of the price. It was pretty expensive for lunch. But I'm still glad we splurged on the... 更多
Just look at the menu online to get an idea of how very difficult it was for me to make a choice. After drooling on the menu for what seemed like 20 minutes, I finally decided to try the Barbeque Drum, which was EXCELLENT. They have the standards like Etoufee, which my friends recommened, but my spouse makes a great... 更多
Although it was a Saturday night, we only had about a 40 min wait for a party of 8. And, it was worth it. We all had something different, but the food I enjoyed the most was the gumbo, the fried oysters, and gator. They had a variety of LA cuisine to choose from. Everyone tried something new, and one... 更多
