We stop by here when in the Lexington Area. The onion rings are super, and we usually get the poor boy. This time we tried the fried chicken and it was super. Neat place to stop by for a drive inn experience.
The decor is very detailed. Exactly what I would have imagined a 60s drive in to be. We ate inside but they were serving outside. I had the parkette it is a good double burger, crispy fries and a very good chocolate milkshake. The other two had a burger and the Patti melt. They both liked their food. I saw... 更多
Treated very rudely. This establishment has no signage about payment methods. None. Nowhere. We were informed, after we had eaten, that they do not accept discover card. The manager was rude, would not agree to hold a check and / or drivers license while we went home to get our debit card. I had to sit in the restaurant for... 更多
Fried in lard, it will probably clog an artery but it sure is good. While the chicken is a little small the taste is big. I had the 3 piece portion and it was just right for an evening meal. The sides are pretty standard and if the chicken doesn't give you a heart attack the gravy will. Yes that... 更多
On our way through town, our family wanted to check out the Parkette Diner from the TV show Diners and Dive's. Great old fashion Diner with lots to see and a big nostalgia feel. There is a newer addition in the back with tables and chairs while the old diner is old fashion booths. All the staff were very helpful... 更多
VERY casual, old-time diner with a strong local following and local favorites. The fried chicken seems to be the star, but, if you like your food fried, everything on the menu is pretty good. The place is very busy on the weekends and families and kids love it. You DO have to like fried food to appreciate this place, but,... 更多
Stopped in for lunch today, was not disappointed. Had the fish sandwich and onion rings. Fish was light golden brown, onion rings were crispy. Topped it off with a vanilla malt which was perfect. We had lunch in the opened garage, loved the oldies music that was being played. Our waitress was Billie, very cheerful. We will be back!
Cheeseburger and fries were good, but the highlight was the chocolate shake. So delicious! Could of skipped the food and just had another shake. Very nice young guy brought out my food, he was friendly and very personable.
Came here because of diners drive ins and dives. Ordered the fried chicken and was happy. Fries were good. Cole slaw was great. Wait staff was terrible. I had to ask someone for my bill and she acted like I asked her for a car she was very annoyed. Probably wouldn't return but was a once in lifetime thing.
After a day at the Keeneland Race Track we wanted to try Guy's recommendation. Our mistake was using the drive in, the speakers are awful and made it so difficult to order. My fish sandwich was two generous pieces of white fish tasty but the batter was hard and crunchy ( I prefer lighter batter) , and because of the... 更多
I had the Big Lex Burger and my GF had the reg. cheeseburger. I had chili cheese fries with mine and she had onion rings. Lex burger was ok, and the CCF sucked great cherry coke though. Her Cheeseburger was ok nothing special but her onion rings were great. Fast service with a smile, Great price, good atmosphere. Nothing Special... 更多
We were told to seat ourselves and then got ignored to the point we considered leaving and going somewhere else even though it wasn't busy and the 2 servers looked right at us a few times. They need to either filter their oil or change it because the chicken livers and chicken both had an old oil flavor. We've had... 更多
