New location just North off the square. Food is greatly improved since the new manager / chef a few years back.
Love the new space that Beethoven's has taken over about 2 blocks from their old location in downtown Paola. Big and roomy and certain to one again pack them in on weekend nights. We've enjoyed a number of their dishes over the years, but you can't go wrong with schnitzel, bierox, frickadellen, or any of their other German dishes. Save... 更多
Yummy warm yeast rolls are provided while awaiting your entree. Eating just one roll nearly filled me up. I had the Sauerbraten and it was delicious. It had the traditional vinegar taste and was a bit sweet. They offer several varieties of schnitzel. My husband had jagger schnitzel and loved it. We were DELIGHTED and wonderfully SURPRISED when we walked through the door. The dessert bar will simply "blow you away" and you will stand there trying to figure out what choice to make. The food was good, I had ham and Muenster Cheese. Big dinner rolls with berry butter, hot potato salad and bread pudding for dessert. With apple instead of raisin! They opened up just for our tour and were very pleasant.
I absolutely couldn't wait to write this review - it was that great! We took my mom and my mother-in-law here for a Mother's Day lunch yesterday. We are all big German food fans, and I've had some pretty good stuff in my travels, so I wasn't really expecting to be blown away. Let's start with the restaurant itself. It... 更多
We had a multiple entrees..sausages, schnitzels & a roulade. With out force or coercion we cleaned our plates....and after a tease from the desert counter tried some pie. A little bit out of the way, about 30mi, but looking forward to another go. Cheers
