I've been here for dinner several times with a friend, played pool, drank some of the local ciders they specialise in, had a lovely steak meal, very good home cooked fare, great atmosphere and seems to attract lots of friendly locals and visitors. A great spot
Stopped to try the various ciders, conveniently all in one place. The Willie Smith on tap pear cider was very good along with my great steak sandwich.
Very friendly and helpful bar staff. Very well worth the stop! Took a few bottles away for afters.
There was a good selection of local beers on tap and extensive range in bottles. The menu was simple and the food was nice. The food was served promptly. Kid friendly pub is recommended for a quick stop over.
We camped at the Weldborough for a night and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The beer list is extensive, the service is second-to-none, and the quaint english-pub feel was lovely. Such a good feeling to be off the grid - don't expect cell phone reception, but do expect to have a great time :) Highly recommend!
The food and the beer are outstanding, but above all I enjoyed the experience of sitting at a big table getting to know my fellow travellers. For those staying at the pub, they stayed open until midnight. The pub also stocks every craft brewery in Tasmania. An absolute feat! A must visit for beer lovers!
