First time here. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The waiter was very good. Good variety on the menu. Loved the cerviche mixto. Not very big inside - about 10 tables. Was busy on a Saturday afternoon.
No. It's not Mexican food. The food is a great tasting blend of South American Coastal and Andean mountain cuisines. For soup, my favorite is the Parihuela. There are pasta dishes, chicken, beef; all seasoned exceptionally well. Some spicy, most not. The restaurant is family-owned and operated; cozy, clean, and very friendly. It is a favorite.
We wanted our Saturday lunch to be on the 'lighter side' so my first attempt to order a soup was not possible as this item from the menu was not available. I understand a Saturday in mid-July might not find soup to be as popular, but I was looking for lesser expensive and lower calorie. In the end my daughter... 更多
Absolutely love this quaint little restaurant. It only seats about 40, but what a gem! Our party of four have never had Peruvian food, so we were out for an adventure. The food was outstanding, we shared two appetizers and four dinners plus butter cookies for dessert, everything was delicious. We shared the stuffed avocados and were sorry we hadn't... 更多
I don't know if this place is a victim of it's own success or they are simply getting complacent, but it is NOT the place it used to be. The owner is now heavily pushing the fixed price menu, which at $50 a person is overpriced compared to a la carte ordering. What used to be personalized attention by the... 更多
Small place with a lot of heart. I love the seafood dishes here; good fresh layered flavors. Haven't tried other options yet. Be sure to have some time to spend dining here as the dishes take time to prepare and the service is slow. Menu is a bit expensive but where else in Indy can you get Peruvian food?
The food was excellent. Limited wine selection but found something nice to go with dinner. We got the last reservation for a Friday night. It was packed. Large group of 12 next to us too. Don't miss the ceviche mixto!! Casual place. Arroz Pollo is awesome!
The food is good, their peruvian juice is supposed to be healthy but it seems to be very sweet. not much to say, but their fried plantains are tasty. overall the food is good. it is a family run place. If if you want to try it out it is ok, I have had much better peruvian food outside Indianapolis.
Mama Irma is a small Peruvian Restaurant in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis. The atmosphere is like being transported to a little Peruvian restaurant in Peru, small, intimate and tastefully decorated. You feel like you have "come home" with the personal attention and warmth. Hilda, the owner and chef, often comes out to chat with patrons and answer any... 更多
Mama Awesome!! I can't say enough about this little gem in Fountain Square. With all the new up and coming places in this area, you really have to take notice of the consistently great places that have been there and remain to nourish one's soul... Mama Irma's is not one of those new trendy places, its a mainstay in the... 更多
