Hubby & I stumbled across the Driftwood Bistro while checking out the Island. It was happy hour and the bartender welcomed us right in and made us feel at home. We had read a few reviews about the place while sitting there enjoying our cocktails and some were not so good. We had planned to leave after our drink and... 更多
Don't trust trip advisor on this one. We just went based on all of the reviews and it was one of the worst meals we ever had. The highly recommended shrimp cake was cake and a couple shrimp bits. The highly recommended shrimp and grits were tasteless. If you don't like flavor with your food, go here. This is a... 更多
The locals like this place so that tells you a bunch!!!! We went early and beat the crowd so parking wasn't an issue but it could be if you come later....Had the fried green tomato's for starters, excellent, and then the shrimp cakes for dinner, very good. I had the squash for my side and I must say it was... 更多
This is our favorite restaurant on Jekyll Island. Excellent food & service, great prices, choice of portion size, and great wine specials. And vegetables!
Great bistro with good food. Loved the shrimp cakes. Wine prices are not much higher than purchasing at a store. Definitely try it!!
The food and service are to die for!! My husband had the blackened catfish and I had the grilled catfish. My son had the meatloaf and my daughter had the stuffed collard greens. They were all delicious and savory!! Great taste. The sides were excellent as well, the sweet potato casserole, collards, fried okra, yum!! To top it off we... 更多
Lots has changed on Jekyll Island, but thank god the great food, service, and management have not changed at the Driftwood Bistro!! We ate here 4 times on our trip. Cried when they were closed on Sunday. Make sure you save room for bourbon peach cobbler. Everything is delicious.
A great place for dinner. Nice wait staff, very friendly. You must try the fried okra. The cheese grits are also very good. The bartenders make wonderful drinks also.
The food and service were Wonderful. We enjoyed dinner here 2 nights while on Jekyll Island. It is very difficult to find good home-made food that is reasonably priced with excellent service, The Bistro exceeded our expectations!
Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. Collard greens, mac and cheese, and sweet potato casserole were delicious. Bar tender pours and generous drink also.
This was our first visit to Jekyll Island and we enjoyed some great local cuisine. The stuffed collared greens were great. I had sweet potatoes and black eyed peas for my sides. The "petite" portion was more than enough for this middle-aged diner. For desert, my wife and I shared a peach cobbler. It was divine.
This place serves fresh wild Georgia shrimp. Any shrimp dish is good. The prices are a little high, but not too bad for an island. My wife and I ate here on a Tuesday night and the place was busy and lively. This place really attracts the retired travelers and old age pensioners who are not looking to eat particularly... 更多
