Food seems to be wayyy over cooked and overpriced for it. It used to be great but now everything we get is tough.
We happened on this place and were pleasantly surprised. The waiter was fun..and talked us into the BIG margarita... ( sadly wasted half of it ) My steak quesadilla was yummy with nice sides. The thin chips and salsa good too. Maybe we were just super hunger from riding the Silver Comet bike trail ?
Am not too sure what happened this evening but this was a pretty bad experience. We have eaten here before and had a great time. But tonight for some reason it was far from a good experience. After a previous bad experience, we returned with a 10% apology coupon in hand. Once again, the service was TERRIBLE. Our waiter took around 15 minutes just to acknowledge us. Then drinks were forever to arrive. He made a lame excuse proclaiming time and was off an hour. He couldn't blame the time change because it was in the opposite... 更多
La Cocina is consistant in many ways. It is always crowded (no reservations), very family oriented, attractive surroundings, a young energetic wait staff and very good food. I liked it when all the employees were from either Mexico or somewhere in South America...gave it a more authentic atmosphere. It's now run and staffed by a bunch of young black and white kids. Didn't hear anyone speaking with even the slightest hint of a Spanish/Latino/Mexican/South American accent. Additionally, when I asked for hot sauce, they brought me Tobasco.... 更多
