This was a strange meal. I ordered a Cajun-style shrimp dish and it was pretty weak. At an entrée price the dish included six very small shrimp that were overcooked. The sauce was quite bland. Driving through Sarasota and stopped here for a bite to eat. Very clean cute little place. Very good service and prices are amazing! Had the Wednesday Special, Pulled Beef, Rice, Salad and cooked plantains. Good portions. Next time in Sarasota will return here.
Chuleta Calleña sp? Best I've ever had! pounded so thin and the fried. The platanos both maduros and tostones are killer. my spell correct is going crazy with all these spanish words. anyway. Love Love Love this little place.
I first discovered Mi Tierra (on the "wrong side of Fruitville Road") on Hwy. 301 in Sarasota during a Tropical Storm. They had pots and buckets all over the place because their roof was leaking everywhere.
