Dined here many years ago and we liked the food so much that we returned the next night. We were looking forward to a return visit after many years. A1A, unfortunately, is showing its age.... a grubby, stale beer-smelling disappointment. Place needs a good steam cleaning. Food was just okay, not the outstanding fare we had in the past. Server... 更多
This was our third time eating at A1A Ale works on a trip to St. Augustine. It is a convenient walk from the hotel, and we have always had a good experience. We sat upstairs inside this time. It was a long wait to sit outside. Have not tried their beer, but it got very good reviews from the beer... 更多
My wife and I visited this restaurant after a sunset cruise. We had a great table on the veranda overlooking the bay. They have a good selection of craft beers. I ordered one and it was very good, my wife had a cocktail which was equally tasty. The food on the other hand was a slightly different story. We had... 更多
Went there for the first time with my wife and another couple, was able to get a table out side. which made all the difference in the dining experience. I had the shrimp and grits creole which was spicy good. I would order it again. My wife had the fish tacos, also good. the other couple enjoyed their food also
I had the porpoise point IPA and my partner had the brown bear beer. He had chicken wings and I the spinach salad. The beer cheese soup was excellent! The view is really great and the wait staff were very friendly. Prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back, especially for the beer cheese soup.
Ordered the fried goat cheese salad, it was fantastic! Waiter was friendly and helpful, would go back again. At there at lunch time, was not quick but did not take to much time either.
A1A ale works has the best stuffed mozzarella meatballs ever. Plus the service is always great. The only negative is the layout up stair with its tiny hallways that the guests and staff sometimes run into each other. However it is still one of the best restaurants I've been to.
In April I was in St Augustine on a girls' weekend and we ate at A1A one night. We had requested a reservation outside. The staff had a great table waiting for us outside! Then it was getting rather cold and windy. So we asked if we could change to a table inside. The staff could not have been nicer... 更多
I like the A1A Ale House. Decent enough food with spotty service but not bad enough for me not to return. Great view if you can score a balcony table. But...it seems that it is going away. Why is the question. So. If you are coming to the area, check it out before it's gone.
There was a group of 12 of us that met there for dinner. We met and walked there for dinner. When we walked in, we were escorted directly to the stairs. I personally have bad knees and was quite bothered until I did see a sign that pointed to the left for an elevator which another member of the group... 更多
While visiting family in Florida we visited St. Augustine for the day and came upon this wonderful establishment. This historical building has been preserved beautifully inside and out, beaming with old world welcoming southern charm. We started out with ordering appetizers & drinks, which were plentiful, fresh and tasty. We all enjoyed our main courses that ranged from burgers to... 更多
Before this trip a few acquaintances told us this was a "must do" restaurant with great food. This will be the last time I listen to them. The kitchen crew needs to realize that seafood paella is NOT a soup - and there should not be 1/2" of broth and you never put this dish in a broiler (that's how... 更多
We recently visited St. Augustine and tried A1A Aleworks for the first time. The host and waitress were very friendly and we were seated immediately. We ordered a couple appetizers to munch on and some drinks, and ordered our kids some mac and cheese with fries. We tried their shrimp and crabcake appetizers, which were pretty good, however a bit... 更多
