This review is specific to the restaurant part of the establishment. I called the restaurant at 4:30pm to confirm that they have a kids menu. The person on the other line listed all of the options. Great!. We were at the restaurant at 4:40pm. Walk up to the hostess and she tells us they are switching from lunch menu to... 更多
We serve soups, salads and appetizers from 4:30-5:30. This allows the kitchen the proper amount of time to switch all... 更多
The atmosphere is so tropical and fun. We sat right at the waters edge, watching people feed the tarpons while having one of there famous "Trailer Trash Bloody Mary's" and a to die for bowl of Lobster bisque. We enjoyed it so much we made a point to stop on our way out of the Keys. Our overall weekend I... 更多
Doesn't look like much but the food here is top notch! Breakfast-Lobster Frittata is amazing! Also tried the Crepes filled with lobster and eggs! Enough to share! Back for dinner and had the Diver scallops which were cooked to perfection! Hubby had the strip steak which he devoured! The Lobster Bisque is delish!! There is also the usual fish sandwiches... 更多
A friend recommended we visited this place and we loved it. The food was lovely, the service was prompt and attentive and we were lucky enough to be given a waterfront table, where we whiled away a couple of hours, watching the tarpons and pelicans competing for fish scraps thrown into the water. A very laid back, relaxing eaterie.
What a spectacular stop on the trip to Key West. The food, service and especially the al fresco dining was great. Another sample of Key Lime pie more than met the standard. It was very entertaining to watch people feeding the tarpons. Watch out for the Sea Gulls... they bite. Restrooms were kind a funky, so use the ones at... 更多
The Hungry Tarpon is not a fancy restaurant but they do provide delicious food. The fish meals including the scallops were all very good to excellent. The soups and salads were all great, especially the conch chowder. The key lime pie is top notch. Enjoyed the location and view. We will definitely return.
The atmosphere and the staff as well as the resident coming in for a glass of wine or beer at the very funky outdoor bar made our stay absolutely magic, We looked for something different and not tourist polished, we found warm people, lots of laughs, and the manager whom I believe is named Michael is a great person, as... 更多
This is not fancy but delicious food. Make sure to save room for the amazing key lime pie, buy a t-shirt to commemorate your visit, and be sure to feed the tarpon before you leave!
Every Keys town needs a fish shack and this is a very good one. Nice variety of tables, many with good views of bridge from lower to upper Matecumbe Key. And there's plenty to look at besides the water as there's a busy boat dock right there and a Tarpon feeding attraction--lots of people walking around. And there's a lot... 更多
We ate breakfast here one morning when we decided against renting kayaks due to windy cloudy conditions. Very fun to eat breakfast while watching people feed the tarpons and the pelicans stealing fish from the tourists! The portions were large, service prompt, and prices reasonable. Only complaint was there was just single restroom for women that was being used by... 更多
Very long wait for food when it didn't seem that busy that evening. Prices very high for what we got. Tacos were okay, but scallops and shrimp basket very unwhelming. Kids menu only to age 7 seemed not right. Did like general atmosphere upon arrival.
We appreciate your feedback. All our food is made to order and sometimes does take a little bit of time... 更多
