I enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich in this quaint little town BBQ joint. Service was excellent. Pork was good. Pulled pork Sauce was good but a little sweet . Hey it's New England not North Carolina! I will return.
Wood's Pit excels at combining BBQ and Mexican. We hadn't dine here in several years but the food has been consistently good for a couple of decades. The BBQ is decent, the Mexican dishes are decent, but when the BBQ pulled pork and chicken are combined with Mexican (last night it was the chimichanga and quesadilla), this restaurant excels. Usually... 更多
Hostess/server was great! Friendly! Great ambiance! I ordered ceasar salad with grilled salmon and jerk chicken. Awesome, I ate that all the way home....Good portion...This was my first time there, although I passed by it 100 times....
Went Sunday afternoon with my daughter and grandchildren. The place has that Suttle aroma of hickory smoke. I'v eaten there in the past, so I was familiar with the style of food. Anyway, my daughter and wife split a dinner. The kids ordered of the kids menu. Nothing was especially hot, warm at best. The sides come in a 4oz... 更多
The smoked meat and Mexican food is very good. I've been looking around for other Mexican places that aren't a franchise or chain restaurant. I keep coming back to Woods. But, like most smoke houses the meats can be a bit expensive. I smoke meat also. In my backyard tho. It's a time consuming and expensive process. So, I don't... 更多
We had lunch here as a family this week. The meat for the pulled pork and brisket was yummy. The BBQ sauce could have more flavor. The service was fine but the best thing was the reasonable prices for a good meal. Definitely a good lunch place if you are in the area.
Just rolled out of Woods Pit having shared the pulled pork platter with mac n cheese, jalapeno corn bread and a green salad and a chicken burrito with sides. All incredibly filling and delicious. Serious southern comfort food. A sweetner to this was that the pulled pork platter is 50% off on Tues. Lovely service. A definite one to come... 更多
I have driven past this place so many times, wanted to stop but never did, this past Sunday my sister took me there and I was so disappointed. The BBQ sauce tasted like watered down ketchup I ordered the rib and chicken combo with baked beans, a real disappointment. I asked our waitress if there was another BBQ sauce that... 更多
Woods BBQ has a history that most don’t know about. The restaurant owner built upon the rich history and success of his previous restaurant “LaTienda’s” in Litchfield. In days gone by this was the finest Mexican /Ethnic restaurant by far in Litchfield County and boasted several awards From publications like CT Magazine through its years of existence. Wood’s cuisine has... 更多
