This place has great food, wonderful ambiance and fantastic service. I would highly recommend it to anyone! My sister is vegetarian which is why she chose it but there are planet of meat options too
We went there for Mediterranean style food, which was excellent. We had not noticed the unassuming storefront in the strip mall, but a friend recommended this restaurant. The decor and atmosphere were mideastern. The waiter told us that it all came from Syria. The large menu was both in English and in Arabic (just in case you that is your... 更多
Best ethnic food in Golden by far. For a cheaper option that's none the less as tasty grab something from the a la carte menu. It's pretty much the same meal without the rice and half the cost. Also they do great carry out! Beware- Don't wear anything in the restaurant that you can't wash, you tend to come out... 更多
After a tiring 11.2 miles hike in Golden Gate Canyon, our group of 8 were more than eager to have some nourishment. We decided to go to this restaurant. They have very appealing ambiance in the inner room. As for the food, the chicken shawarma was a little dry but the gyros plate, lamb kabob are excellent. Big portions too.... 更多
I am a l9ver of Mediterranean and Lebanese food. When my friends suggested we go i was more than willing. I especially liked the stuffed grape leaves. They were served warm and they were yummy. I found the chicken swarma to be a little too dry for me, but the lamb kabob was excellent. Well seasoned and not overdone. It... 更多
Started with fried kibbeh (beef meatballs), fava beans with garlic and lemon juice, and fettoush salad--all very nice. For main dishes, we had lamb shank braised in a tomato-base sauce and grilled lamb chops. The marinade for the lamb chops was slightly sweet (unexpected), which augmented the savory flavor. The braised lamb shank was fork-tender, moist and silky, and rich... 更多
Excellent hummus, falafel and gyros. The salad dressing was clearly bottled -- had that glutinous quality of too many stabilizers (and not much flavor). Baba ganoosh wasn't eggplant-y or grilled enough, but that's a personal preference. Service was friendly and prompt. A nice option for an inexpensive family meal; four hungry adults were sated for $58, not including tip.
My wife and I enjoyed the ambience at Ali Baba. The service was good. We did find the food salty, several dishes, not just one.
I couldn't get over how beautiful the decor was. Service was friendly. The menu had plenty of options so even my 6 year old could find something. Excellent falafel, FABULOUS mushrooms!
