All 3 of us were disappointed. Not the explosion of flavor she we anticipated. 2 are vegetarian-one option. Not tasty. Though it did look good. Our other family member had a chicken ramen bowl. She didn't enjoy it.
Bones' reputation and numerous great reviews prompted me to visit for lunch recently. It's a tiny noodle house with good food and excellent service, gentrified to justify the high prices. The duck confit steamed buns are excellent, and worth the 15 minute wait. These are served open faced(almost like a taco). I'm not usually a fan of steamed buns, because of... 更多
I expected something a bit casual and it met that expectation. Went with a friend who raved about the place. We had steamed buns (good with a minimal amount of filling) and lobster ramen—a feature of the place. I was less than wowed. It was good but a bit bland and at $20 a bowl, I expected more. Listed on Westword as "asian-italian fusion". Feels more like asian-american fusion. Food was excellent and cooked perfectly. Loved the addition of the poached egg. Overall a little expensive, about $100 for three people, including appetizers, drinks, meals and desert to share, and a tip. Noisy environment, good for a night out, but not for a business meeting. Might return!
The menu concept is great with its noodle-featured dishes and not the ordinary Asian Americanized food, but the food was a bit too oily and not well proportioned between steamed bun and filling or peppers and topping.
I have to give this place a very good, because my wife and kids LOVE it. It is NOT my style of food...but it is theirs. It is also a very small space that has been done up well...but it doesn't seat very many people. We sat at the counter and it was fun watching them cook.
I have dined at Bones numerous times and keep going back for the Lobster Ramen. It's a small spot, so have a reservation or come early (although the outdoor patio adds quite a bit of seasonal seating). Do yourself a favor and wait the 15 minutes for the steamed buns--totally delectable! The happy hour menu is served from 5-6:30 with... 更多
This place is small and we had reservations for an earlyish dinner--it was in the summer and was quite warm with only fans going. Our server was fantastic and helped us make good choices for our tastes. We arrived during happy hour so we started with the Bees Knees and some brussels sprouts and shishito peppers. All great and enough... 更多
