we were here 3 mornings. you have a lot of possibilities. food quality was great, waiter/waitress friendly, the whole location is typical american style, like you know from movies. food service is fast! we waited not longer than 10 minutes. recommend this place to other tourists, for this area the prices are more than fair.
I took a walk down the Sunset Strip from my hotel and stumbled upon Mel's Drive-In, looking not too different from how it must have looked upon opening many years ago. I have a warm place in my heart for vintage places like this, and Mel's did not disappoint. The interior was spotless and had been kept in good condition... 更多
we ate here as it is supposed to have been used in movies at some time. good food and staff but the mini working jukebox on our table has to be the highlight . looking through and playing some proper old songs.
Good service, good food, good location, job done. Open 24 hours! Went back for Breakfast having been the previous day which always says it was good to me.
Great food and fun at Mel's diner. They have a huge menu selection. Everything we ordered was fresh and very tasty. Well priced. Great wait staff. Would definitely go here again.
I always have breakfast/lunch at least once when I'm in LA. The atmosphere and the location right on Sunset is perfect. The menu have all the classics you expect from a Diner. It's a perfect start when the night before was a bit crazy. If you are driving, be prepared for valet parking as street parking is difficult to find... 更多
Stopped by Mel's on our way out of town. Perfect place for a bit of nostalgia. The service was fast and friendly. Lots of little memorabilia on the walls. Just a fun stop!
this has been on the sunset strip for years. which says something. diner food, fun atmosphere. good for meeting friends, tourists, or a date. good food at fair prices. sit outside and people watch on the sunset strip. who knows who you might see?
Very cool diner with lots of history and photos on the wall. I went to "check-it-off-the-LA-list" of things to do. We went for breakfast in a Sunday and the food was plentiful enough, the milkshakes were very good, and the service/food came quickly. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting LA.
We came here after visiting the hollywood museum next door the food was good the price was average for l a service lact a little but i enjoyed the pictures and the memorabilia on all the walls and a convenient location right of of Hollywood blvd
If you are looking for something American, as opposed to the plethora of other types of restaurant, Mel's is worth a visit. The meatloaf is recommended. Juke boxes at each table, it has the feel of that Diner that you see in the movies.Nothing in LA is cheap, but here you can get a good meal for your money.
While in LA, we ate at the famous Mels and left wondering what all the fuss was about.... Diners are a part of our culture here in Oklahoma so maybe we take the friendly 50's diner atmosphere and home cookin' for granted...? The food was good, but we definitely were charged for it. We were hoping to at least catch... 更多
