If you're looking for a good place for fresh, "normal" donuts, this is the place. DKs is super crowded on my Saturday and Sunday mornings. Friendly staff, great selection. No super fancy stuff, but lots of great tasting treats!
Bought a dozen of the worst donuts ever. Jelly and glazed tasted like hamburg rolls, with sugar on them. 7:00am and they tasted like they were day old. Coffee was awful as well.
Cannot figure why people wait in line for this place.
Please forgive me for neglecting the many other delicious pastries DK's serves, but the Bacon Cronut, is the Elvis of croissant/donuts. I even capitalize it to show it it's due respect. If you love bacon, the Bacon Cronut will bring tears to your eyes. If you can't eat bacon due to religious reasons, don't worry, I won't tell. The ladies...
I bring boxes of these donuts to customers when I am in town. I just ask for a mixed dozen and let them choose. All great, all fresh and well priced. Lots of locals in the back talking over coffee. A great local place.
This place is always busy, which is both good and bad. The donuts are fresh (and sometimes, you can score a huge cinnamon roll that is still warm from the oven), and the coffee is acceptable, but there is minimal parking and the drive thru line is out in the street at peak hours.
