This is now called Solidarity. Same place. Same food. Reviewed it recently. It's fun. Eat outside in the back for a better experience.
I was surprised to find polish restaurant in a very centre of Santa Monica. Food was awesome. Service was superb. For a while I felt like at my Granny's home.
I find this place just ok. Patio is charming but to noisy when many people. If you were doing well why would you overnight change the front of the restaurant to a totally different look and change the name. You say the food is the same and you really are still Warszawa ??? huh? Am I missing something here?
We love Polish food and we loved , yes, LOVED Warszawa. Solidarity is WARSZAWA under new management . The portions are small ! We ordered Golombki and it came is a tiny scoop of mashed potatoes. Seriously folks, this is Polish food. Should you have to walk out hungry? Its not cheap and that's OK BUT don't make the portions... 更多
I have been at this place twice already and I can tell these people know what they do. very authentic polish food, great atmosphere, and friendly servers. and prices are reasonably fare based on the location.
I am an older east coast Polish-american with much family experience with east coast style polish food. I will tell you this is different, for the better in my opinion. Loved the zcrasy and golabki. The mizeria was to die for. Pierogis excellent. Potato pancakes awesome. Portions rightsized, thank you. The topper was the lounge out back for an after... 更多
Do yourself a favor and do not come to this place. Santa Monica has many other good restaurants that all you have to do is select the type of food and go. My friend and I went there but only the service was not great, the food was ok but not great so certainly I will not recommend this polish... 更多
Savory Polish dishes in a friendly atmosphere. A restaurant of long-standing in Santa Monica. One does well to sample the stroganoff: beef stewed with wild mushrooms served over spaetzle (a kind of pasta). Their nalesniki: savory crepes, spinach or wild mushroom also tasty.
Invited to dinner by local friends when we visited, we were advised to try the excellent Long Island duck. Slow roasting crisped the skin, as touted, but also dried the meat. If this were Peking Duck, it might not have been too bad, but even the usually moist dark meat suffered. My wife tried the Beef Stroganoff, which was reduced... 更多
The outdoor area of Warszawa is lovely and cool. We got there too late for Happy Hour, but loved the Bison Grass Vodka martini. A Polish specialty, this vodka is truly special. We also enjoyed duck pate, two kinds of steamed pierogis - mushroom potato and beef carrot. Prices are mid-range, but the unusual menu is well prepared and well... 更多
