My food was just ok, but my wife loved her sandwich. Staff very friendly. Large restaurant and only one stall in restroom. Not enough when serving meat and BBQ to a bunch of men.
Don't know what Dave is famous for but it's shouldn't be his brisket. It was dry and tasteless, some of the sauces were nice but anything would help the flavour. The staff were nice and we got served quickly but there was only one other table being used so they weren't rushed off their feet.
One thing I am sure of after reading these reviews, and then trying Famous Dave's for myself, is that California doesn't know BBQ. I've eaten at Famous Dave's in a number of different states, had a number of different meals, over the course of a couple of decades. It's just average. Price is up there for around $20 a meal or more, but the ribs, they are always tuff and chewy. Sauces are fun with many flavors, but they just don't help. The... 更多
