After enjoying the Elkhorn Slough Safari, we had an amazing lunch at Phil's. The cioppino was great and we saved just enough room for a cannoli. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed the patio atmosphere.
Came here as part of my anniversary weekend to the coast of California. Kink of an iconic restaurant so we have been wanting to check this place out for some time. Got here late afternoon (3pm) thinking we would catch a lull in the crowd but it was jam packed ( father's day and summer solstice) But we got lucky... 更多
Everything on the menu is great tasting, doesn't matter if the place is packed or your the only one there. Tough to match the quality and quantity for reasonable prices.
Even though the food here was very good, it was not the "best seafood in the world", like it was supposed to be. The scallops were the best of the fried food. They were nice and hot, and there wasn't excess batter on it. The other fried food was good, but not amazing. The pasta was the best. We had... 更多
We arrived on Friday at 11am, since we knew they were going to be busier. The ordering process is slow because there is one line to order, pay, and receive a table number. The food however comes faster. We ordered the halibut and chips and a bowl of cioppino. The halibut was excellent, fresh, large, and crispy. I usually order... 更多
We were antiquing in Moss Landing and saw all the people in their lot. Glad we persevered to finally find a parking space. Phil's really is a fish market and restaurant. You stand in line to order, they give you a number and bring the food to the table you found. I had the halibut fish and chips and my wife... 更多
I think this restaurant is good. It has good clams. The spaghetti was marvelous. The fried food was pretty good. It was pretty noisy, and crowded. Don't get too much food. I guess the food is really filling. But after all, I would prefer this.
Perfect spot for casual seafood. Sometimes loud live music which is not our style but the food is always good, and most importantly fresh. Artichokes are amazing. You order your food at the counter and then they bring it out to your table according to your number you place on the table. Very casual but very fresh!!!
This is a brilliant place to come for lunch....there is a fish counter where you can buy freshly caught fish and additionally a large lunch menu with a wide selection of fish and shellfish dishes.I had halibut tacos and my partner had seafood linguine. Both were cooked to perfection using fresh and tasty fish. You will probably have to wait... 更多
Local landmark. Super informal. Pretty good food, but we'd expected to have our socks knocked off. Go for the fun of it, but don't expect too much.
Phil's is a local joint. But, after a spot on the Food Channel --it was busy for lunch at 2:30pm. Large portions of mussels--crab salad and clam chrower. Reasonable prices and lots of food. It is about 20 miles North of Monterey. But it is worth the drive.
I have been going to Phil's for their cioppino for 20 years. Just got their full order for take out and it is still the best ever! I highly recommend Phil's and if you go definitely have have their cioppino.
We were excited to finally be coming through Moss Landing on a weekday and have a chance to give Phil's a try (without waiting in the very long weekend lines). It wasn't bad, just average. I had a lobster roll (dry, no flavor) and my husband had the a fried combo of oysters and shrimp (heavier than it should have... 更多
Phil's is my go-to spot when traveling along the coast. The food is EXCELLENT, fresh, high-quality, and plentiful. The Phil's Experience is unique. This is a busy place where guests stand in line to order, get their own drinks, and find their own place to sit. This is Phil's. You might even share a table with new friends. Do not... 更多
Phil's has a varied menu with good prices. Very casual and they've added outdoor eating with a view of the harbor entrance so you can whale watch while you eat. The fish market is great too. Take home the frozen cioppino. Only downside is the limited parking and crowds. No reservations so the wait can be long.
