We enjoyed the food and of course the Root Beer,it takes a while for the order because they aren't pre made which is a good thing
We went for only one thing: a frosty (glass) mug of root bear and it absolutely met the need and nostalgic memories. The place is a bit run down and grungy. But service was quick, personal and cheerful. And the root beer was great on a day with temps at 96 degrees! PS: they have the old fashioned mugs for... 更多
This is the drive in referenced by George Lucas in the movie American Graffiti so there is history there. The food is awesome and the root beer is a must get . . . And it's served in a frosted mug (if you eat there). They even still have car hops on skates. Do yourself a favor and give this... 更多
A Hot August Nights tradition! Nostalgic location and decor. Car Hops on roller skates, indoor dining, chili cheese fries, burgers and of course freshly made root beer. This place is a must at least once. Great for families and dates.
Took my daughter here to experience the nostalgic car hop service. The food was great...love their freezes!! Only problem was trying to figure out what to do with the tray once we were done.
The A&W on G St. is like walking back 50 years ago. The atmosphere is great, the people friendly and wonderful HOT food. No cold fries here and nice portions. The tomato, lettuce and onions were fresh and crisp. The history on the wall was interesting and took you back to a simple time when all you cared about was... 更多
This place is something everyone should see if you come to Modesto. The movie American Graffiti was all about Modesto Ca cruising the streets in the 50's. This A and W is what was represented in the movie. They still have the waitress on Roller skates and an old Jukebox. Food is good too.
