Drove 40 miles to have breakfast here. There's just not very many places left like this anymore. Very old-school pretty expensive. But I definitely go back and the drive was worth it.
Located on the very busy section on Ventura, closed to Laurel Canyon Blvd, this deli is in business since 1957 with old style booth, decor and to some extend ... clientele. We ordered a soup and a plate of lox for two ... and for this price, the capers & pickles were missing. There were no bialy on the menu... 更多
Art's Deli is an excellent place if you're pining for an oversized pastrami sandwich. Their rye bread is fresh and a good texture. They'll bring you a plate of great pickles. The portions are on the scale of Carnegie Deli in NY. Heart attack sized. Service is good and there are many menu options especially Eastern European Jewish specialties like... 更多
For the price of a sandwich you can get a 3 course meal at a fine dining restaurant with amazing service. They have lost their minds to charge $28 for a sandwich, even $18 for smaller version is outrageous. By the time you get side, drink, desert, tip that these worthless bastards demand and taxes to top off, you are... 更多
Rumor has it that famous people can be seen eating here, but I didn't recognize anyone, which doesn't mean much as I'm not a star struck individual! I ordered a simple BLT. Asked for extra crispy bacon and got exactly that!! Perfect!! And, the sandwich was about 4" tall! A little difficult to eat but it was good! I had... 更多
Came with my 90 year old mom and 13 year old grandson. The matzah ball soup was hot and very filling, as was the matzah brie my grandson had. The portions are quite large so be aware you'll be taking some of your meal home.
I tried this place once before and was not impressed, then a couple of months ago, I was in the area, and said to myself , maybe I give it another shot, and I did. It was not any better. The pastrami was half the amount of what other Delis serve( for the same $$) and they added half a... 更多
The food is good but they have raised prices so much that they are going to price themselves out of business. I recommend Art's if you don't mind $4.00 for "one" cup of coffee and a refill.
Lets face it, Arts has really good Corned Beef and there is plenty of meat on your sandwich. I don't live near here so when i get into town my mouth waters for some good deli. The grilled vegetable salad was passable but nothing special. Reuben-great. Potato pancakes were terrible. each one was uniform shape, no onion flavor and texture... 更多
Large portions, breakfast made exactly as ordered, food hot, service efficient. Bagels very fresh. Good place for breakfast. Matzo ball soup also good, the matzo ball was more seasoned than other places I've had it, but not too seasoned so that was good also.
