Diner with a western feel. Good selection of burgers. I tried the elk, not bad. Fried corn on the cob interesting. Friendly service.
Was there on a Tuesday night (March 2017) and the rib special is excellent! Was there the following Saturday morning and had the Mt Whitney Omelet, again excellent!
There is not much to choose from as far as restaurants in Lone Pine this time of year. Mt. Whitney Restaurant serves basis American fare but its not that great and overpriced. We got spaghetti and the sauce was watery. Server was pleasant. Open until 8PM.
For a restaurant which claims the "Best Burgers in Town", I guess I was expecting a bit better. The food itself actually wasn't bad but overall pricey ($11 for onion rings). Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The portions are embarrassingly huge, so consider sharing appetizers, etc. . Really good food, very friendly service.
Had breakfast here, waffles was great and the bacon was cooked perfectly, stopped here for a quick bite on our way home and their lunch did not disappoint either. Cozy place with all the photos of western actors and films that were shot in the area. Reliable diner.
great breakfast, and atmosphere. it is where the oldtimers of the area get together for breakfast each morning. if you are visiting and want to find out anything about the area just eat breakfast at The Mount Whitney. known by the locals , as simply The Whitney. they also have a nice dinner menu. not fancy, by any means; but... 更多
The service was rather slow and the food pretty average. I wouldn't rush back. The guy in front of me waiting to pay obviously felt the same way based on his attitude to the cashier. I didn't see any tips being left!
