The restaurant doesn't look much. It is placed in a mall, But the food is astounding. My Avocado Bomb was fresh, tasty and much too big. The Miso soup has perfect too. A little jewel hidden in a non-shiny mall in non-shiny Lompoc.
We put off trying Umami due to it's strip mall location. Boy were we wrong. Excellent lunch, very busy, but not noisy. I had a fabulous seafood soup and my husband throughly enjoyed his Teriyaki chicken dish. We will go back for the Sushi soon. Service was lovely too, all and all we were impressed.
