We used to go to this restaurant quite a bit, and then it closed down for a while. I am happy to say it is back open in doing a very good dinner once again. Ninja roll is a must try!
Food is actually pretty good, but restaurant decor is really bad and service not much better. Feel like restaurant is not finished inside, and they have big ugly signs hanging outside. They rushed to open this without looking at the place or hiring the right people. I felt sorry for the server we had.
For those of you who ever frequented Enshino Sushi (L.A.) back in its heyday, the same Sano, Master Sushi Chef is back here in Fresno! He is the real deal & knows his trade. Variety of fish & specialties. We suggest traditional method, sit down & allow Sano to prepare for you!! We're here every weekend.
Miso soup was average, pot stickers soggy, bland, tasteless with no hot oil or vinegar to add. They served beer but no wine. I don't drink beer. Totally lacking any atmosphere. Place was dark, large, and empty. I won't go there again.
I've been there twice since it has reopened under the original chef. Not much has changed in the decor, but the qulaity of the food is much improved. The gyoza were a little stange, but the ramen and sushi were both excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful.
