Sold to Calistoga Inn and will reopen as a bar... What else can I say to make TripAdvisor feel happy... The place along with Jole' was sold, closed... And is to reopen shortly... There... 100 characters
Met a friend for dinner, I ordered the pasta carbonara paired with the Cab flight. Although the 3 cabs were ok the carbonara greatly made up for it. A nice sized portion, well made and delicious. Overall the pasta was something I would order again. Atmosphere is more bar than restaurant, and nothing really spectacular. Again the food makes up... 更多
First off, our server was Andrew and he did an awesome job, very attentive and eager to make sure we were happy. Loved the vibe of the place. The disappointing part was the food. My husband had the meatballs served over pasta with Pomodoro sauce. Meatballs were good, sauce was bland to say the least. I had spaghetti with the... 更多
Barolo is a great antidote for the fancy-schmancy overly pretentious San Francisco restaurants. The cocktails are generously sized for the price, and the food is wholesome, ample, and recognisable.
What a gem! Had dinner here with my husband and the total Package was a 5!!!!! The service was incredible, the food starting with the soup followed by rigatoni and raviolo was amazing and the shareable dessert was unbelievable. We would recommend this restaurant to anybody. What a gem. We will definitely by back. Thank you for this fabulous experience
When traveling I never eat somewhere without thorough research- scouring yelp and tripadvisor for info to choose the best suited for particular experience. In Calistoga I didn't opt for this, and chose to wander the street (singular-main street of two and a half blocks) and find the place that would draw me in. Had a lovely dinner with my husband and his friend. All of us loved our dishes. I had a wonderful pasta dish and we all shared the best asparagus dish ever. Waitress was attentive and price of all dishes was fine. Would go back here again!
Four of us went to Barolo on a Wednesday night. Everything we ordered was good - authentic Italian, but the portion sizes were way too small for the price. Menu is rather limited. Probably will not return.
Loved sitting at the bar and chatting with other patrons. They had Thursday night football on tv which made hubby happy. Great happy hour specials as well.
Barolo is an excellent restaurant and definitely a great choice for dinner. Their Happy hour is exceptional! House wine is fab, Michael the bartender crafted " bartender's choice" happy hour special for my husband and I based on our preferences, appetizer specials were out of this world and this place is a must see when in Calistoga!
