More of a sandwich shop cold or hot. Looks like the specialty is different types of soda, like 100 different kinds. Also, it doubles as a furniture boutique. Great place to bring the family.
Came for lunch on Saturday. We both had burgers and then a piece of pie. Food was average but we came for the surroundings more than the food. Here's what was lacking: No character outside of the decor. There was no music playing, the menu isn't inspired by the Era. Just felt like this place could be so much more.... 更多
Step back in time. Old Coca Cola dispensers, and golden key ring cash registers. Historic piece of Phoenix since the 1930's, the old drug store - soda fountain place with spinning seats, and diner like counters. Great ambiance. While the malt may be $6.50 (and well worth it by the way) the food is a little less than what you... 更多
Went to Heard Museum and used apple GPS to find food places nearby thus our first try at MacAlpines. They use Thrifty ice cream and it is very good. Had soda and float. Sodas come in 90 flavors ours was pina colada. We had wrap and soup and turkey sandwich with salad. Food was okay, good, but it is not... 更多
such a throw back! one of our favorite places to bring out of town people too. no fries, just chips but good cole slaw. basic burger and sandwiches but you go there for the ice cream. so much to look at and they also have a thrift store attached that you may see things you would find in your grandparents... 更多
Me and my friends went there for lunch their food is excellent it's very fresh and very tasty they have a huge soda menu they make all different kinds and they're all equally delicious it's an exciting fun restaurant with a lot of antiques for sale it's truly an event not just a restaurant
Personally, I didn't love the food and found the service to be somewhat scattered. However, my son went crazy for the 75+ flavors of malts, egg creams, etc. that you can get. I loved walking around admiring the huge collection of 1950s memorabilia (most of which is for sale)
This place is fascinating and there are so many things to look at. The Soda Fountain menu may be a bit overwhelming but what ever you are craving they have. There is a vast sandwich selection as well as blue plate specials.
MacAlpine's, in the Coronado Historic district, is a vintage restaurant complete with tabletop jukeboxes and round soda straw containers. The antiques and collectibles are fun to browse. The pies not only look homemade but taste delicious. My Rhett Butler ice cream float was scrumptious--chocolate and more chocolate! Too many ice cream dessert choices! Go to Mac's for a taste of... 更多
We met a couple here for a dinner, but ended up ordering sandwiches and hamburgers. Service was great, sandwiches and burgers were fine. Seems to me that they could do a bit more to make it more appealing when you first walk into the restaurant. Lots of stuff jammed into a small space, but we came here to eat so... 更多
